Naturally Friendly, Local

And delicious

Located in the Peak Districts, but only 6 miles from Sheffield City Centre, Low Bradfield is the quintessential English Village.  In the summer life revolves around the cricket green, and eating locally produced ice cream,  and in the winter ramblers and walkers explore the numerous footpaths that transverse the village.

The village boasts two pubs that both serve food, a village hall that sports a variety of events including weddings and Flask End which incorporates the local Post Office, Village Shop and Tearoom.  Tucked away behind this building is a converted barn that is now self-catering accommodation - Flask End Holiday Cottage.

The cottage sleeps up to four people with two double bedrooms on the ground floor, which can accommodate either two double beds, or four singles, or any combination of these.  A travel cot is also available for those visitors with a small child. We offer a flexible booking structure with simple and very competitive pricing, whether you’re looking for one night or a fortnight away.  Additional packages can be purchased for special occasions too. Please ask for details

On the ground floor are the bedrooms and the bathroom includes a shower over the bath.  Upstairs the living accommodation is open plan with a solid fuel stove and TV with freeview.  There is a landline phone for incoming calls only/emergencies as mobile phones are unreliable in the village – although there is a phone box (remember those!?) outside the shop. Wifi is always available for those who need to connect online.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 6 ring gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with a small freezer box.  If you go mad at the local farm shops or market, freezer space can be organised in the shop.  There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room, and should you require outside space chairs and tables are in the tea garden (although you can always venture 10 seconds across the road to the village green and children’s playground and tennis courts too!)

Off-road parking for one vehicle is provided next to the cottage, but additional parking is provided with plenty of space around the green for cars.  Dogs are most welcome at Flask End, but we ask that they are not left alone at any point during your stay and that they do not go on the furniture. (Contact us to discuss suitability of types/numbers of dogs before booking please)

What’s included: All bed linen, towels, heating and fuel, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder/conditioner, cooking equipment crockery and cutlery. A travel cot, high chair and a medium sized dog crate are available upon request. What’s not included: Food/drinks – although pop over to the shop for supplies, or if you fancy the B&B experience bacon butties can be supplied!
